Toronto police are still looking for suspects involved in vandalism of a First World War cenotaph at Malvern Collegiate Institute.<\/p>\n

On Sept. 3, Toronto police responded to a call from the school regarding damage to property. The school informed the police that on Aug. 23 the cenotaph was vandalized and the sword was removed from the sculpture\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n

The school\u2019s video surveillance camera shows a group of youth gathered outside the building with one male youth climbing to the roof, approaching the cenotaph and removing the blade of the sword from the statue.<\/p>\n

The suspects are unknown at the time and the video will be made available to police as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

The cost of damage is unknown, but the school believes it to be more than $5,000.<\/p>\n
