  • DECADES – 1970s

    The 1970s were a decade of change.  By the end of the ’60s, the Beatles had split up, Jimi and Janis were dead, and the innocence of Woodstock had given way to the violence at Altamont Speedway.  Rock and roll was still here to stay, but now it was hard rock edging towards heavy metal, with forays into punk and disco.

  • DECADES – 1940s

    A wonderful, memorable reunion of early Malvernites was held on May 15th, 2008. This meaningful event took place in both the school auditorium and the library. Eighty-five former students from the 1930s and 1940s attended, and it was a stirring and inspirational day.

  • Israel Halperin and David Hayne

    Malvernites who attended MCI in the 1920s will be saddened to learn that one of our most distinguished graduates of that decade has died. Professor Israel Halperin, C.M., Ph.D., LL.D., F.R.S.C. (1911-2007) was an internationally known mathematician, author and activist who treasured the memory of his years at Malvern from 1923 to 1928. His brother William, who was killed in the Second World War, also attended Malvern. We are also sad to announce the death in November 2008 of our 1930s coordinator, Professor David Hayne.
