Musings Fall 2012

The following is an essay written by a Malvern student, Will Pearson.

The sacrifice that soldiers make when they die for our freedom is one that can never be truly repaid. That people are willing to lay down their lives in defence of their country is something that cannot be taken for granted. Soldiers’ reasons for enlisting are likely to be as individual as each one. They might not even be fully understood by them, only that they are compelled to do so for one reason or another.
