Ann Roberta (Smith) Innes

Ann’s very full life drew to a close on Saturday, July 18th, 2015 — just a few months short of her 90th birthday. As a child of the great economic depression she strived for academic achievement as well as professional accomplishments (Activity Haven Executive Director). Ann enjoyed cooking, entertaining, painting and was a committed bridge player. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend to many.
Ann is survived by her four children, Ann Lorraine Twist (Terry), Brad Smith (Lorna), Victor Smith and Gail Heffernan-Smith (Paul). Ann will be remembered by her brother John Vincent Conroy (Stratford, Ontario), sister-in-law Audrey (British Columbia) and loyal friends Evelyn Andrews and Gord Harrison.
Predeceased by her first husband Don Smith and second husband Jim Innes, parents Adam and Rita Conroy, sister Victoria and nephew Vincent Paul.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren, Ann Beausoleil (Ron), Vincent Twist (Nancy), David Twist (Angie), Ryan Smith (Katelin), Melissa Smith, Kara Balcarras (Joshua), Breanne Eksteen (Alistair), Sarah and Tawnya Best, Adam and Serena Heffernan. There are also 20 great-grandchildren with another one on the way to complete Ann’s family heritage.
A gathering to honour Ann’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at 1 p.m. at NISBETT FUNERAL HOME, 600 Monaghan Road South, Peterborough, 705-745-3211.
